1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the LEAP platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, students, instructors, and other users of LEAP.
2. Description of Service
LEAP is an e-learning platform operated by Learning Publics LLC that provides online courses, African language programmes, exam preparation content, and live tutoring sessions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. User Accounts and Registration
You must register for an account to access most features of LEAP. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it up to date.
4. Subscription Plans and Payment
LEAP offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis and auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Nigerian users are billed in Naira via Paystack; international users are billed in USD or GBP via Stripe. All fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.
5. Refund Policy
Individual course purchases may be refunded within 7 days of purchase, provided that less than 20% of the course content has been accessed. Subscription fees are not refundable for the current billing period but you may cancel to stop future charges. To request a refund, contact leap@learningpublics.com.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
All course content, videos, PDFs, quizzes, and materials on LEAP are the intellectual property of Learning Publics LLC or the respective instructors who have licensed their content to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission. Personal, non-commercial use for your own learning is permitted.
7. Instructor Terms
Instructors who publish content on LEAP grant Learning Publics LLC a non-exclusive licence to host, distribute, and promote their content on the platform. Instructors receive 70% of net revenue from their course sales and are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of their content. LEAP reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use LEAP for any unlawful purpose, to harass or harm other users, to upload malicious content, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform. Academic dishonesty, including sharing exam answers or obtaining certificates fraudulently, is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination.
9. Privacy and Data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using LEAP, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We comply with the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and applicable international data protection laws.
10. Termination
Learning Publics LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may also terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your access to paid content will cease, but your learning history may be retained in accordance with our data retention policy.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learning Publics LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and, where applicable, the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation before proceeding to binding arbitration.
